Hub capped

photoA recurring theme at the Thames Valley Property Forum in September was the need for a collaboration hub in Reading.

It’s a difficult concept. There was much talk of somewhere to share ideas. But how can you be a hub for everyone? The IT crowd want somewhere they can mix. It needs to be social, off the wall and yet businesslike and not full of drunks.

The town is full of coffee shops so shouldn’t it be easy to extend that for business types?

Well if the IT crowd at Thames Valley Park want to mix with the IT crowd from Green Park and Winnersh Triangle, plus those in the town centre, it’ll be far from easy.

There seems to be a limit to what you can do. But if anyone knows how to crack that one, there seems to be a sizeble market waiting to be support it.
