On Remembrance Sunday campaigners for a war memorial were at the centre of the twice a month car boot sale.
At 11am the sale stopped for the two minute silence before things continued. Almost all the shops were open, trade looked good, staff were helpful and there was a generally good atmosphere.
Nowadays the Bosco Lounge is a tremendous addition, an all-day pub/cafe/restaurant in the main area of the town. There were people from the town council asking views on new public toilets. Even the library was open.
What part of Reading makes such an effort to give the locals what they want?
