Royal loyalty

The players may be the focus of Reading’s Championship success but there is a frenzy of activity in the business world.

Executive boxes costing £16,000 plus food, were not fully sold in the Championship. Following promotion there is immediately a waiting list for the suites which now cost £27,000 plus food – for four fewer games.

Tightened belts now seem to have loosened and Royals are looking to make as much hospitality available as possible.

You can’t blame the club for getting as much money as possible from it’s excellent stadium and season ticket prices are favourable for existing season ticket holders, just as existing corporate customers get first option in the new world.

At least it’s nice to know that in the Premier League where money is sloshing around abundantly, there is a little bit of loyalty, thanks to clubs like ours.
