High IQ

If there is one possible good thing to come from the recession, it may be developers are having to compete harder for the busines that’s out there. And that means better buildings.

Happily one rare bit of nice modern architecture is up for an award. As Segro developes IQ Winnersh the company has put up a footbridge which actually looks reasonably interesting.

Incredibly firms are still signing up to move into the new buildings and it might just be that there is a little more effort being made to make the buildings aethetically pleasing.

The Pru has ditched its long held to put a dramatic looking footbridge over the A33 near Kennet Island because of cost.

It may that the Segro bridge is paying the firm back for holding its nerve to go ahead with it.
